Simply put, we decided early in the Community Ratings that the POTM would be given to the non-substitute player with the highest point average. At the time it was a valid point since most subs for RSL come in so late that they can’t make much of an impact. Maikel Chang has turned that on it’s head, and now we may have to re-examine how we give the award, but that won’t take place until next season. So we’ll give it to Kreilach, but with a caveat knowing that Chang was actually the best player for the game.
Likewise, Douglas Martinez was the weakest non-substitute of the game; it’s hardly his fault that he was injured early in the match and had to be pulled out. But by the same caveat, we’ll re-examine it for next season.
