We had a triple whammy this week. First came on Wednesday when RSL lost in Montreal; at least that one was close. Then came the Saturday which we hope shall be forgotten. Both Utah Royals FC and Real Salt Lake on the road, and both toppled like the old Murray smokestacks. We are now in an extended break thanks to the Women’s World Cup, and Gold Cup; there will be a handful of RSL games during this time with the US Open Cup starting for MLS teams, and the horribly named “Leagues Cup”.
We did get to see the unusual ‘referee substitution’ in the RSL game, so there are two ratings for referee in that game.
