Real Salt Lake’s 2019 schedule released

Get your calendars out.

Matt Montgomery

Well! It’s MLS schedule release time, and we’re here with it.

We’ll talk more soon about which games you really should see, but that’ll be a little closer to the season — so be on the look out for that. After all, once Atlanta United signs Lionel Messi, that becomes a must-see. Hah.

But until then, let’s go over the days of the week — that’s a good start. Oh — and streaks of games home or away. Yeah, that.

Home and away

RSL has one three-game home stand: Aug. 14 to Aug.24, when they’ll play Seattle, LAFC and Colorado Rapids.

Likewise, they have one three-game road trip: May 29 to June 22, which includes a bit of an international break inside. They’ll face Montreal, New York Red Bulls, and Chicago Fire.

Wednesday games (and three-game weeks)

All of Real Salt Lake’s midweek games are at home — it’s an interesting trend. I’ll add some extra information below each match for some context.

  • July 3 vs. Columbus
June 29 vs. SKC, July 6 @ San Jose
  • Aug. 14 vs. Seattle
Aug. 10 @ SKC, Aug. 17 vs. LAFC
  • Sept. 11 vs. San Jose
Aug. 31 vs. Portland, Sept. 15 @ Minnesota
  • Sept. 25 vs. LA Galaxy
Sept. 21 @ New England, Sept. 29 vs. Houston

Friday games

We’ll have two Friday games, with our match against Atlanta United coming at home — that should be a fun one.

  • April 19 @ Cincinnati
  • May 24 vs. Atlanta United

Sunday games

As you might expect, we won’t have many home Sunday games — just the one, and that’s right at the tail end of the season.

  • April 28 @ LA Galaxy
  • Sept. 15 @ Minnesota
  • Sept. 29 vs. Houston
  • Oct. 6 @ Vancouver
