Lineup news

  • Joao Plata is off the injury list, though it’s hard to say what that means. I’m not anticipating a start, but Nick Rimando’s Instagram showed him on a team bus in Columbus.
  • Justen Glad isn’t listed on the official injury report, but after last week’s apparent concussion, I suspect he won’t be playing. If he is, I hope he’s OK.
  • The usual suspects are out: Jordan Allen, Shawn BarryTony BeltranDemar PhillipsAlex Horwath. Joining them? David Horst and Ricky Lopez-Espin, both of whom underwent surgeries.

Lineup prediction

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Mike Petke throw a bit of a spanner in the works here as he tries to get a result on the road. I don’t think he’ll go outright defensive, but I do think he’s tired of losing on the road, nearly without exception.
