There’s nothing like some good banter between players, especially after a tense match, and more especially when you actually win said match.

This interaction between Danilo Acosta and Seattle’s Clint Dempsey is fantastic. Let’s watch together. The video’s from Francisco Vazquez, who reports in Spanish for our local Univision affiliate. (He’s a good follow if you aren’t already following him.)

Anyway, isn’t that great? If you weren’t able to watch, Dempsey says something — I’m not sure what — and Acosta responds with a perfect “two-zero, baby” and asks Acosta to “keep talking.”

Nice stuff, Acosta.

I’d say Acosta was easily one of the better RSL players on the night, and he ably dealt with nearly everything that came his way. Impressive stuff, especially considering the defender is just 19 years old.
