Real Salt Lake has not been playing particularly well against FC Dallas tonight, and for their troubles, they were given exclusive reign over a very exciting statistic.

They’ve now conceded the most goals in a half in a regular season game.

Funny story, though. If we’re talking all-time — including MLS Cup playoffs — then RSL only just equalized a record held by the then-Dallas Burn side, FC Dallas. That was certainly unexpected.

Real Salt Lake is two goals away from beating an MLS record for most goals conceded by a team, which is quite the exciting prospect, too.

And if RSL can manage to score one more — the score’s 5-2 right now — they’ll tie an all-time record for goals in a given match.

Anyway, back to the match. RSL has just 20 minutes to score four goals and tie this one up. We’ll see how it goes.
