Real Salt Lake vs. New York City FC: TV schedule, live stream, lineup news

Here’s how to watch the RSL match tonight.

Matt Montgomery

How to watch

  • Where: Rio Tinto Stadium; Sandy, Utah
  • When: 7 p.m. Mountain, 9 p.m. Eastern
  • Local TV: KMYU (2.2 over-the-air; 12 satellite; 643 Comcast HD)
  • Live stream: MLS Live
  • Radio, English: ESPN 700 AM (6:30 p.m. pre-game)
  • Radio, Spanish: 102.3 La Gran D FM

Lineup news

  • Kyle Beckerman and Nick Rimando could be set for a return after injuries kept them out of consideration
  • Demar Phillips, on the other hand, is likely out after suffering an apparent hamstring strain against New England
  • Expect some rotation, with Albert Rusnak and Luke Mulholland making their way back to the starting lineup

Five reasons to watch

  1. Andrea Pirlo is apparently set to start his first match in a while after being rested or benched. It’s always fun to see other clubs’ legends lose.
  2. Jefferson Savarino. Need we say more?
  3. Kyle Beckerman slide tackles. Missed those.
  4. More defensive uncertainty! Does Justin Schmidt get a start on the left again?
  5. I mean, really, who loses FIVE games in a row ... badly? Either we go down in the annals of RSL history for it, or we break out of the streak. (Please be the latter.)
