Real Monarchs and Timbers 2 might be one of the more interesting match-ups in USL this season, not least because the Monarchs picked up a handful of T2 players this year.
Add in the fact that T2 has Christian Herrera in on loan from the Monarchs, and you’re left with an intriguing story on a personnel level.
But now that we’ve got arguably one of the standout coaches in the league coaching our second side, it’s hard to imagine we won’t be talked about in a higher regard moving forward. Will that translate into results? Will he stay in that role for long? Only time can tell.
