Real Salt Lake vs. San Jose Earthquakes: Nick Rimando makes outstanding save ... as usual

Nick Rimando is amazing. That's all.

In case you forgot that Nick Rimando is, like, really good, here's your reminder for the day.

Nick Rimando is in full Nick Rimando-mode here to stop Chris Wondolowski from close range. #SJvRSL #MLSonFOX http://t.co/5O8Boy6nJq

The defending here was, well, not good, but that's hardly unusual this season, is it? The ball was given away cheaply, the cross wasn't challenged, and Chris Wondolowski is streaking through unmarked — but if you can count on anyone to pull something spectacular out of their hat, it's good old Nick Rimando.

And, hey, remember how many times Rimando's won the Goalkeeper of the Year award? Yeah, it's never. For context, Portland Timbers owner Merritt Paulson even commented on it, and he famously is not particularly complimentary of Real Salt Lake.

Rimando. You just have to take your hat off to the guy. RSL/SJ #foxsports
