Our favorite time of the year is upon us: international breaks! Everyone loves seeing some friendly, money-making international soccer, and there's plenty of opportunity to see that in the coming week.
Despite my dripping sarcasm above, there is something cool about this international break. Of Real Salt Lake's callups, only Demar Phillips for Jamaica is to the senior team, and they're playing in a very early World Cup Qualifier.
Luis Gil, Boyd Okwuonu, Justen Glad, Sebastian Saucedo, and Christian Herrera are all joining other young American internationals, and that's especially exciting. Further, the three U-20s are all graduates of the RSL-AZ academy, and that sort of doubles down on our enthusiasm.
