With the Leagues Cup break finally over, MLS returned to action at last. A few surprising results caused some big swings on the power rankings table.
14 sites published power rankings for week 2. The Guardian has not updated since the end of May, as they previously published twice a month they have missed 5 updates and are on drop notice.
A reminder of what Power Rankings should be (not that every site does, of course):
"If two teams played tomorrow, given their current injury concerns, form, and other considerations, who is likely to win on a neutral field? All things being equal, who is the best team going forward, based on what we know now?"
